My name is Eudecio Gabriel, I am from Brazil and I am an electrical/electronics engineering student and I have this amazing idea for the algorithm for a robot/programming.

 

I wrote more than 9000 commandments (including when I was a kid) from my father and my mother.

It felt like what they told me covered basically everything in my life, even areas like how to relate with people, behave in different situations, think deeply about things, obey rules from school and university, don't you think this wouldn't be a very good algorithm for a very good robot ? Some commandments relate to others, some depend on others to be efficient, etc...

I have difficulties in managing and obeying all the commandments that my father and my mother tell me since I started to write them down in a paper and to start to see how they are particularly complex ,  but imagine if a robot could obey it perfectly.

 

I just feel like I can reach more than 12000 commandments from my father and my mother, and look I can write a book for every commandment that they tell me , imagine this inside a robot! That would be astonishing! 

 

 Once you write the commandments in a paper you can notice the big potencial that they have, specially in a fied like robotics, imagine that more commandments more it would feel like the robot is real.

 

It doesn't have to be the commandments from my father and my mother (that I think are pretty great) it could be the father and mother commandments from anyone's good family, from any culture (that would change the personality of the robot).

 

 

It is a list like:

1-  study.

2 - eat vegetables.

3 - do not talk to strangers.

4 - stay away from dark places.

Etc...

 

The list is very big, and detailed. Very detailed. I think in some time I'll probably hit more than 12000 commandments.

 

I sent this email for more than 2145 researchers from some universities that I love like  Stanford, MIT,University of Oxford,University of Cambridge,KU Leuven, Politecnico di Torino, University of Pretoria, Saint Petersburg ETU, Heidelberg University,Saint Petersburg Public University,Jiao Tong University,Osaka University, ENS Lyon, TUM, University of Sydney, University of Toronto etc.

The others that I did not sent the e-mail there at your departament I could not find the e-mail. You can replicate my idea as much as you want, many people demonstrated very positive to my research,idea,robot... engineers, non-engineers, professors in Europe, here in Brazil too, etc.

 

 

You can replicate my robot as much as you want with your own parents commandments, you'll see that the robot will not be in an infinite loop, it will really make sense even with thousands of commandments, if you put bad commandments the robot will be in a bug, and it will not be able to do it because there are other lines of code protecting it naturally.

 

I know you are not in the field  but I tought it could be interesting to share with you.

 

You can see that even with a very big amount of commandments, even abstracting them, he commandments never are against each other, so it's great for robotics, AI, etc.

 

You can build in in Google Assistant for example, it can build a personality, etc.

 

 

You can share the idea as much as you want.

I also highly suggest you to send it to your own governments, I strongly it can make students minds healthier for a lifetime, well directed, etc.
